McCandless Bus Center employees had a fun weekend sponsoring and rooting on the 2023 Pikes Peak Bus Road-E-O contestants.

Falcon School District 49 hosted this year's Bus Road-E-O. The Bus Road-E-O is an annual event where various school transportation professionals from the Pikes Peak region gather to demonstrate their skills and engage in a friendly and fun competition.

The competition is divided into two categories, a general education bus competition, and a special-needs bus competition. The competition consists of excelling in ten different unique skills. The top-scoring winners move on to compete in the state championship bus skills competition.

School bus drivers are an integral part of the lives of students. They are the most highly trained and scrutinized drivers on the road. School buses are designed with safety in mind and are the most regulated vehicles on the road. When your child takes the bus, you can trust they're in great hands. We thank all school bus drivers for continuing their education on safety measures and keeping our students safe!
