What Your Truck Cab Needs
Trucks are a vital tool in the international shipping trade and for many other industries, but truckers are just as important. We here at McCandless Truck Center want to help you feel safer and more comfortable in your cab, so we’ve put together a few accessories to keep on-hand, below. To learn more, or to see the trucks and truck accessories we have for sale, contact any of our stores throughout Colorado and Wyoming, today!
Safety
Driving a truck isn’t always dangerous, but you want to be prepared for emergencies. Make sure to always have:
- A toolkit to help fix minor breakdowns and other mechanical problems
- A first aid kit to keep yourself from having minor breakdowns, including bandages, ointments, antacids, and minor painkillers
- A resealable container of cat litter or sand to improve traction in slick or sticky situations
- A flashlight
Comfort
And of course, whether you’ll be driving for an hour or two or a few days, you’ll want to make sure you stay comfortable, fresh, and focused. If you’ll be driving for days, make sure to bring some comfortable and clean bedding along. You should also bring water bottles, snacks, and caffeinated beverages to keep yourself steady on the wheel.
Rely on the Community
When in doubt, ask other truckers in your area or on your route what they do to stay comfortable and safe. No one knows those roads and weather conditions better!
